SurviMate 5-Stage 0.01μm Ultra-Filtration Filtered Water Bottle, BPA-Free Material, NSF/ANSI 42&372 Certified, Portable Water Filter Bottle for Survival, Camping, Hiking, and Emergency Use : Sports & Outdoors
$24.99
About this item [5-Stage Filtration] – The Survimate water filter bottle utilizes advanced composite filter technology to effectively reduce a wide range of contaminants. The filter has passed authoritative NSF/ANSI 42 certification, it employs a coarse filter screen, a 0.01μm hollow fiber UF membrane, a sediment PP membrane, purification beads, and activated carbon fiber to reduce chlorine, unpleasant odors, heavy metals, sediment, soil, organic matter, and other impurities. [Smaller Filter Pore Size] – Featuring a 0.01-micron hollow fiber UF membrane, the filter removes 99.99% of harmful substances from water, surpassing the 0.2-micron pore size typically found in other brands. The smaller pore size ensures higher filtration precision, delivering cleaner and safer drinking water. [Built-in Compass] – Perfect for camping and outdoor exploration, the water bottle is equipped with a built-in compass on its top, helping you navigate and stay oriented during your adventures. [Long Lifespan] – The durable filter element can purify up to 1,500L (396 gallons) of drinking water, replacing approximately 3,000 single-use plastic bottles (500ml). Proper care and maintenance can extend its lifespan. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the filter after filtering 1,500L of water. Note: This water bottle is not dishwasher-safe. [Usage Tips] – When using the bottle for the first time, the initial water may carry some carbon particles and appear slightly black. This is normal and safe. To ensure clean drinking water, sip through the straw and spit out the first few mouthfuls of filtered water. Please note, it may require more suction than standard bottles due to its 5-layer filtration system. Avoid blocking the silicone air hole next to the straw, as airflow is essential for proper water suction.

good investment for backpacking, and trail walks
I used this on a rustic camping trip where the only water was Lake Michigan, it worked perfect, cleaned the water so it tasted great. and held enough water to last for most of the day.

Great on demand water filter!
This is a pretty good water filter bottle. It’s a little bit tough to get a good pull of water but not overly difficult. It’s just not the same as a straw in a drink but more of like drinking a well done milkshake. However, the benefit of being able to filter water on demand is amazing! There’s very little taste of anything even when filtering dirty water. The charcoal filter and all of the components of the filter do a great job of keeping debris, microorganisms, and bad flavor from being an issue. Additionally the hand strap is extremely convenient both when holding the bottle or strapping it to a pack. It’s extremely durable and the capacity for the filter is really good considering its size. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would!Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase and it makes a good backup to my Sawyer filter.

Love The Carbon Filter
So many other water filters on the market today work well for filtering out the bacteria, viruses and protozoas, but they do not offer the carbon. Carbon is needed when you are filtering out water in a more urban setting and you have to worry about chemicals, toxins, medications, and heavy metals that can find their way into the water supply. Even water from the tap that has been treated by the city can still have these things. So i have peace of mind using my water bottle to filter even tap water, to remove chlorine and flouride, and the other items mentioned. I love my water bottle. I bought one for my husband also. The plastic seems durable and sturdy. It isn’t a complicated filter, but is simple.

Almost nothing good about this product
I wanted to love this bottle. I’m very taste and smell sensitive to contaminants in water, so got this to further filter tap and airport water on my travels. I recently took it on a maiden voyage to Florida, and unfortunately this bottle failed miserably.1.) Filtration – The water tasted exactly like it did straight from the source, so there was no water quality improvement with this at least in terms of smell and taste, which is the entire reason for buying this. I tried adjusting the filter straw too and made sure it was properly seated.2.) Leaching – I had the bottle with me during 90°F days, and the plastic must’ve leached into the water because even with the filtration, the water tasted like hot plastic. I knew the bottle wouldn’t keep water cold, but this was nasty and completely defeated the purpose of using this bottle3.) Leaking – Water leaked from the cap despite being properly screwed on and tightened and double checked4.) Volume/flow – I knew this going in, but wasn’t sure how much it would bother me… If everything else was good, I probably wouldn’t mind but given the other issues this just added to the frustration – You get very little water volume due to the filter straw displacement. That coupled with the lack of flow through the straw due to the filtering components, makes it very difficult to get a quenching sip or enough water without multiple refills5.) Poor manufacturing- I took the filter straw off the cap to wash the bottle and it cracked/fell apart throwing the inner filter material everywhere. The only good thing about the bottle was the strap which made it easier to carry and hook onto a backpack. I thought about trying to get a replacement filter, but it’s just not worth it given all the other issues. If I was still in the return window, I would absolutely return this, and I can’t recommend it. Waste of $20. Onward to find a better option with a non-plastic housing and better filtration and seals

Above average bottle
Pretty good bottle, would have given it a 5 star, but a little hard to get the water out, you need to suck on it harder.Bought it for everyone in the family since tap water is not as clean as it use to be, and our trips hunting. For the price, it’s very good!

Good
I used this on my month long euro trip. Before the trip I sucked and spit out water about 3 bottles worth of water to clear up the charcoal filter. If you don’t you will not enjoy the taste. Even so I still could taste it for a couple refills. I recommend doing this to 5 times. Also I really like the clip so I could have my water near by hands free on my hip.
