Better Life Reviews –
Great boots; almost as good as Photon
I really liked the rulers. They are super comfortable and are overall a really solid boot. I returned them to get the photons. Both are almost impossible to get. The photons are a little better in a few ways. They have the heel snugging strap which does help a bit and also a few other better build structures. However they are harder to take on and off with the strap. The Ruler is certainly good enough for most people and it’s a great boot that has a super comfortable soft interior and overall excellent features. The foothold was good enough unless you need something that is super tight. I would really like to see Burton put something else out, even though I already bought the photons. Both of these boots really need a dual boa set up in order to get a more custom feel for the upper and lower portion of the boot. The only step on boot that does that is the really expensive Ion, which is also very stiff. I’m not sure I want to have the speed zone lacing in the Ion better. As the photons were super expensive, I probably won’t be changing them next year even if they come out with a better design.

Amazing boots!
The Burton step on boots along with the step I’m bindings is a phenomenal duo. Getting off the lift is a breeze instead of having to sit on the ground, buckling in traditional bindings.

Very comfortable, well designed and super easy to use
I started with step in bindings during the last millennium and these are my first foray back after going to normal strap ins. Much much easier to step in off the lift and these really spare your skier pals the normal wait while strapping in. Very comfortable, easy to tighten and use.

Best purchase I’ve done
These boots anre amazing! Used for a few seasons now and have nothing but great things to say. Molds to your feet great and super comfortable. Step ons are a game changer. No more end of day fatigue

Great boots
Just as expected both in style and fit. If you wear a 10.5 and order a 10.5 it’ll fit snug the way it should, with your big toe touching the front of the boot but it will slide back if you lean back onto your heels. This is just how snowboard boots do, it’s intentional.

Great purchase
You can never go wrong with Burton products. This boot was quality done right. I’ve already used it twice and it was a great investment. Fits comfortably and tight, just how snowboard boots are meant to be. I got my money’s worth. Great price, great quality with quick delivery.

Comfort
Perfect size, comfort.

Pretty good
They are good boots but over time you are either going to have to get new boots because the side metal pieces will come off

Great system, terrible lining
I love the idea of the step-on system and how convenient it is to enter and exit the binding. Where I think they went wrong is with the heat molding liner. I have never had my feet hurt so much as I have with these boots. I’ve had them heat molded 3 times to try to get them shaped to my foot and they still leave me limping around after several hours of riding.
