    ease of use

EASY! I live in condo no grills allowed. I grab my little light weight grill and go chill in the park and enjoy a quick hotdog or whatever! Easy set up

Absolutely love this thing! I take it on any boat or beach days to cook! Super convenient and extremely light all things considering! Really easy to use and store. Would buy again.

    Camp cooking made easy

Great camp stove/grill. Held my cast iron skillet and did not bend the grates. Easy set up and use, small and compact for portability.

Nicer quality than the original Coleman 2 burner but important to know…

There is an advertising flaw, therefore, 4 stars not because of poor quality but due to inaccurate advertisement. If you only plan to use this as indicated with a pot (not big enough for more than an 6 – 8″ pot or pan max.), on the left side and a grill top that you put food directly on, on the right side, then you will like this. I had other ideas, as In the advertisement photos there is a photo showing a woman with a red frying pan on the “grill” side of the unit. This convinced me of the versatility that I was desiring, but the instructions enclosed tell you not to use a pot or pan on the grill, or it will void the warranty. That was a deal breaker for me. So good quality, but need to know that you will void your warranty if the grill top at all gets scratched due to a pan. There is the next model up and a model down that you have that versatility with.

Important – Coleman Gas Camping Grill/Stove

IMPORTANT please read -12-18-2022 Update – It’s accurate about the thin aluminum grate warping during use. Pictured is another per-camping test with a heavy GSI 36 cup percolator coffee pot. Burner output is great, but it took about 30 minutes in 40 degree F ambient temp to come to a boil. After the stove cooled, I noticed that the grill grate had drawn (bowed into the burner) about 1/8″ in the center. Don’t know if it was due to constant high heat, weight, or both. End result is that this cooling grate should be a thicker cast iron…A fantastic portable propane stove + grill, but now I know why a solid griddle is not offered. The grilling burner needs air / ventilation to properly/ safely operate (see photos). Using anything larger than a 9″ Lodge cast iron pan will create a combustion air deficit, resulting in propane flames collecting in the grilling pit area and coming up beyond the stove around the 10-1/2″ X 10-10-1/2″ Lodge reversable grilling pan and Lodge 12″ solid griddle. See photos. This is not a manufacturer defect or error, but it is a different setup compared to standard home gas stoves where the burners have plenty of ventilation with the raised grates to the stove top surface. I just did the physical tests. Have no regrets about the purchase and look forward to years of use

    It’s a coleman

It’s a Coleman and just as good as the colemans I’ve been using for 55 years! Worked great. Held up great built well I love it !I do wish it came with a carrying case. I would gladly pay the extra 10 to 20 bucks just to get a case because trying to store this thing in a car or a truck I’ll open like that is just difficult. I know there are aftermarket options available, but it would be nice to have at least some sort of carrier. Just a cheap bag to protect the cover and make it easier to use this unit.Otherwise I’m very happy. Thank you guys!

    Good stove, could be improved

Bottom line: It’s a good working stove. Apparently I got a good deal on Amazon; I received the grill a week ago, then I came back to write this review and the price has gone up by $20! There a few little annoying places where Coleman cut corners.- Easy to setup and useScrew in the feet before the first use. Slide the drip tray into the grooves on the bottom. Lay down some aluminum foil Make sure the valves are closed. A 16oz Home Depot propane can installs easily and safely. The piezoelectric starter lit the grill on the first try every time.- Grill heat is unevenAs to be expected, because the grill is close to the burner, the middle of the grill is A LOT hotter than the outer edges. Be aware of this and rotate your food if necessary, or your food may cook unevenly!- Nonstick grill surfaceAfter oiling the grill and grilling 2 chicken breasts, there was a lot of charred food stuck to the grill. I had to soak the grill in hot soapy water to get it fully clean. It would be nice if the grill were stainless steel so I could easily scrape it clean with a grill brush without worrying about damaging the nonstick coating and getting teflon in my food.- The lid isn’t designed to close, so food takes longer to cook- The knobs on the burner valves click shut, but not very tightly. They can easily jostle open during transport. There is no dial on the knob for visual confirmation that the valves are closed when you install the propane tank.

    Good unit with some concerns

I recently purchased this Coleman stove for use during camping trips. I recently used it on a camping trip. I give this stove generally good marks with some concerns. One concern is that the stove does not come with a stove bag or carrying handle(s). So it is a bit awkward to carry and cannot be carried one handed. Another concern is that the starting mechanism is a bit temperamental. It did eventually work to spark the gas but not all the time and often only after many, many attempts. All that being said, once the stove is placed and lit it does work very well. It’s also nice having both a grill and burner on the same unit.

did the job, but could be improved

we took it out for a camping weekend, and our 2 in one coleman stove boils water well, and i really like the option of grilling at the same time. i had a hard time using the ignitor, until i figured out that i could use my right thumb while having my fingers in the handle on the underside of the unit…. they could make some improvements! currently the valves go from 0 to 11 in 1/8th of a turn, which makes fine adjustment difficult. it is easy to turn it completely off when looking for a simmer….. also, the burner on the left is extremely noisy, remember the old white gas stoves? same, sounds liken a mini rocket, lol! you may also want to remove the gas cylinder when not in use, as there is no “off” setting on the regulator, and if you nudge one of the valves they can open easily…. otherwise it seems like a reasonably well made product if the plastic legs and drip tray hold up!
