    Top tier rapid boiler

Has lasted me years without issue, compact and very viable camp cooking/boiling option

Made in the spirit of outdoorsmanship and instead of greed (unlike Jetboil).

What in the world would I do without this thing? It goes on every single hike and camping trip. The fuel and everything just pop into the pot and lock down. It might not be the smallest option for backpacking and hiking, but it’s the closest to being the most complete kit for it. Coffee, tea, oats, freeze-dried meals, soup, whatever you want. Even boiling water for a hot shower in the woods. I don’t know what I’d do without this thing, for my solo adventures or when I have a group. The best part is that it’s a fraction of the cost of a Jetboil and HAS A REAL HANDLE THAT LOCKS INTO PLACE!

    Compact, effective (fast) camp stove

This stove is as advertised. I use it when camping to boil water for my coffee. It is super fast. Something like 5 minutes for 16 ounces of water. When I’m done I let it dry and pack it up into itself! Love it for camping but haven’t tried to cook anything substantial. I did cook some pasta in the provided container but there is another pot available for larger volume cooking

    Sweet Fire-Maple cook system

I’ve tested tons of cook systems over the years, from ultra-lite burners to complete cook systems. Sometimes over paying is just over paying. I hate products that over charge without any additional benefits. So that’s one of the reasons I highly recommend this cook system. Here are some more reasons:-It’s light for a cook system-It’s thoughtfully designed, self contained with gas-It looks good-It functions exactly as advertised, and the valve produces an even flame and predictable adjustments-Not too much money, high value feature set-Expandable cook system options-Been around and improved over the years

    Purchased for grid-down weather events

First off, while the outer mailing box was undamaged, the actual product packaging was dirty – smeared and splattered. Gross! Otherwise, it didn’t appear to be a return. Zip ties and such, were intact on the kit’s components. The night it arrived, I watched a concerning YouTube regarding the huge amounts of CO that these baffle pot jetboil-type systems produce (hundreds of parts per million in less than a minute, both the JetBoil brand and a Fire Maple). The guy (Wiskydog channel?…something like that) used two different monitors in a truck camper. He also tested a simple one burner butane flat camp stove that showed no CO emissions. He switched out the fuel tanks, so that wasn’t the problem. When these stoves were burned with a regular kitchen cook pot, they tested ok, but the whole point of these systems is the speed and efficiency made possible by the heat distributing baffles, and the baffles specifically appear to be the cause of high CO emissions. The fact is, people WILL cook inside during power outages, and in this case, cracking a window is absolutely NOT adequate. I’m surprised none of those Canadian van-lifers who use this type of stove daily haven’t suffered CO poisoning. Perplexing. Considering a return.EDIT after trial use: Works well, boils fast. I will only use this product outside, but considering how quickly it heats water, there won’t be much time to get cold while waiting.

    Great product

I bough the Polaris and the Star X1 to compare themPolaris:Pro: appears to be made of quality material. Like the X1 it will hold 1 ltr. The infighter is easy to use and works perfectly. The regulator is easy to turn and you can bring the flame down to a simmer easily. The X1 is more of a challenge to adjust. The Polaris has an internal piece in the regulator to keep the flame consistent regardless of the fuel pressure. The lid has a locking mechanism when stowing it away. Everything fits inside.Con: it’s $30-40 more than the X1. Although everything fits inside, I’m adding something to protect the ignition wire over the stove. The fuel can fits over this piece when packed, but not sure after bumping around it wouldn’t damage it.

    Yes, it can simmer!

After some initial issues that were quickly resolved, I decided to test the claimed “simmer” because that was my motivation for purchase.I have the Jet Boil Flash, Mini-Mo, and Genesis all great but only the Genesis can really simmer. So I filled the Firemaple with 16oz of 66*F filtered water. Test was conducted indoors with room temperature of 74*F, lid off and 187’ above sea level. After 30 minutes and since 20 minutes the temp never exceeded 203*FNot the perfect 180-190*F but definitely not boiling. I’m very satisfied.
