    Very nice gloves!

I like these gloves. They are comfortable and warm. They fit well and are easy to use the fingerless option when needed. They have a Velcro piece on the backside of the glove that holds the fingertips back when you use that option. I use them for more than just ice fishing. I use them when working outside around the house too. I would recommend them.

    Warm and waterproof

Product was packaged well, not too much wasted plastic to throw away. Initial look was well made, good stitching, durable. Wore first time for warmth during a walk in Dec. Worked well, kept my hands warm, easy access to fingers for phone use. Then I tried them during a fishing trip. They were great, kept my hands dry, easy to cast and reel with them on, great grip and they look cool. Great product so far, highly recommend.

Great value; adequate warmth; decent quality, cold weather fishing gloves…

First, let me say that I’ve always been a Fish Monkey Fishing Gloves fan; however, the Kastking Mountain Mist Fishing gloves aren’t bad. First the good:1. Great Value2, Good fit (the sizing is right for these gloves versus the Kastking Gil Raker)3. Good graphics (Prym 1 Camo patterns)Now the not so good:1. Water resistance is adequate but not up to par with Fish Monkey’s cold weather gloves. I sprayed my with camp dry and that helped immensely. Truthfully, I didn’t expect they’d be too water resistant.2. Warmth… These gloves are okay for temperatures 40 degrees and above; however, below 40 degrees and they aren’t as warm as I’d like. Better than nothing but not super warm. Still, for the price paid, I cannot complain.3. It would be better if the fingers would peel down past the second joint of the finger.Overall, the Kastking Mountain Mist cold weather gloves met my expectations. They are what they are: a budget friendly, entry level, cold weather fishing glove, that happens to look good. If you’re a “recreational” angler, these gloves will be just fine; however, if you’re a “hardcore” angler, I’d say go with a premium brand like Fish Monkey. I love Kastking products and for what they are, Mountain Mist cold weather gloves are more than adequate.

    Best All-Around Fishing Glove!!

As an avid angler who frequently faces chilly weather conditions, I recently invested in these gloves and they have proven to be an indispensable asset to my cold-weather fishing gear, these gloves have exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and comfort. The gloves’ design strikes an impressive balance between insulation and flexibility. Despite their robust protection against the cold, the gloves allow for precise finger movement (allowing for three fingers to be taken off and attached to the back of the finger), enabling me to handle fishing gear, tie knots, and manipulate small tackle with ease. The addition of touch-sensitive fingertips is a thoughtful feature, allowing me to operate my smartphone or other touch-sensitive devices without having to remove the gloves. While the KastKing Mountain Mist Fishing Gloves may be marketed as cold-weather gear, I have found them versatile enough to be used in various conditions. Whether facing frosty mornings, cool evenings, or even light rain, these gloves have consistently delivered top-notch performance.

Nice glove when you need your fingers

I wanted a glove that I could use my fingers when needed. Hunting, fishing, whatever the purpose. The KastKing gloves give me quick access to finger tips when needed. Due to their versatility they aren’t the warmest gloves when sitting, but while moving they were better than constantly taking a bulky glove off, or nothing at all. The camo patters look great and fit was spot on when using the size chart. Finger tips of the glove work on my phone. The rubberized coating on the palm give grip when needed. When you peel the finger tips back so you can use your fingers, there is Velcro on the back to hold them out of the way. Just a warning, don’t wipe your nose with the back of your hand while the gloves are on are you will soon feel that Velcro. Overall, a great glove. My nephew saw mine and liked them, so I’m buying him a pair for Christmas.

Fits tight in spots on fingers

I had bought a pair of Kast gloves in the past that I loved, and needed to replace, now that those older ones have holes from use. Thought I’d try these. I’ve been using Kast gloves for biking in winter, since the fabric does a great job in the cold. However, some design flaws for these.1. They have velcro sewn on the back of the fingers to keep the fingertips back when you fold them back. However, the sewing of the velcro onto the fingers makes the fit of the gloves on the fingers too tight. A tightness is created when you curl your fingers, and it’s coming from where the velcro is sewn. It’s uncomfortable. May differ for different kinds of hands, but it hits me at a critical point on my fingers. I’ve only used them a few times, but will see over time if they break in more.2. The openings created by the open seams, which allow you to fold back the fingertips, let the cold into the gloves. Since, I’m using them for a purpose for which they weren’t designed, this problem is a lesser one. It’s noticeable the cold entering your fingers when wind is rushing past them on my bike. Not sure how’d they do for fishing.Anyway, overall KastKing fan. These were a miss for me for the reason above. Do like their other products so far.

Might buy a second pair. Great gloves!

Way better than I expected! I don’t know how, but these gloves cut the wind and kept my hands warm when it was 1° and I was ice fishing in Wisconsin.I was setting up my shelter and drilling some holes for tip-ups, expecting to need to put on some heavier insulated gloves but nope!Pretty cool how the fingertips can be moved off and on so easily. Good grip on the palms. I like the wrist tightness even before strapping the Velcro.Good quality gloves, I have enjoyed using them for several ice fishing trips already and may need to buy another “just in case” pair!

    Almost 5 stars

So I picked these up a few weeks ago and have finally gotten to test them on a trip. But before I went out, I was testing the fit and water proof quality of the gloves. I have broad hands, but short fingers. For reference, from the base of my thumb to the other side of my palm, my hand measures about 107mm/4.23inches across and my middle finger measures about 78.4mm/3.1inches from the tip to the base. I find that most Large size gloves fit me decently, if sometimes long in the finger. With these, I found that they are a little tight to get on at first, due to the breadth of my hands. And the length is a tad long (almost a half inch), but not more than I have seen in other gloves. With the gloves on, I placed my hands under a running faucet. As long as I was careful to not get direct water on the connections for the finger/thumb openings, the water stayed out of the gloves. That is, except for the left glove ring finger. Water soaked right through the under side, almost as if the seams or the fabric were not properly treated. It was enough to notice, but not enough to really worry about. I also had a day of wet, icy snow and I wore the gloves while I cleared snow from the driveway and my truck. They held up great and kept my hands toasty. With the weather waffling between freezing fog and spitting snow, I set out to fish. I found that the gloves kept my hands fairly warm, almost perfect if I kept the tips closed. But i was trout fishing with a spinning reel so I walked around and casted quite a bit, and my fingertips stayed chilled. The grip on the gloves was excellent… but the problem was casting. I found that the my line would easily get snagged somewhere on the gloves, most notably the fingertip openings. The first few casts, the line was getting caught all over the gloves, on either hand. At about 10 casts in, I ended up cutting out several feet of tangled line. After that I ended up not using one glove, just so I could cast easier. That worked much better, but I would have to look at my hands before I made each cast, to ensure I was not tangled around my remaining glove.TL;DR – Overall, I would saw these were about the 4.3 out of 5 stars that the current ratings seem to average out to. I think that if you were ice fishing, or otherwise just bait fishing and not casting every few seconds, these gloves would make a great addition to a winter fishing kit. But if you are casting a lot, you might want to go with something much thinner, or just all finger-less wool gloves.

Good fit and warm in the damp

I got these gloves near the end of our winter in SE Texas. And since I didn’t get to fish for nearly a month, unfortunately I did not get to wear them fishing. I did, however, get to wear them doing other things outdoors so I can attest they keep my hands reasonably warm in wet climate, and the fingertips flip up easily to allow more dexterous functions. Since I detest reviews where someone has not actually used a product for its intended purpose, I will update this next winter once I’ve put them through their paces. Our winters are relatively short and mild, so I will not be able to speak as well to their longevity as others.
