Took on a recent back country trip and drank straight from the lake for 3 days. I didn’t die or poo myself so I think it works.

Don’t buy this. It doesn’t work as described.
Don’t waste your time or money. This is a very poorly designed product. It takes a day for you to get any bit of usable water. The bag only empties about half way and then you have to refill it for it to work again. The twist on cap is nearly impossible to do one handed so it requires 2 people to use this. I have an email out to them to see what can be done. I’m very dissatisfied.

-1st thing I noticed when I went to use it was an overwhelming plastic smell coming from every part of the filter. I had to wash everything except the filter with soap and warm water to try and get rid of the smell and after that I left it out to dry and off gas for a few days. Smell/taste is almost entirely gone.-Filter does a really good job and got rid of the smell of the water even without a charcoal filter but I would still recommend you add one if you can.-Flow rate is also really good and you can empty the 8L bag in about 5minutes through the filter.-Given the weight of 8L of water, it’s rather difficult to hang up using the provided carabiner/loop strap.-filling it and emptying it from the same mouth makes it impossible to fill up in-situe

Matériel robuste. Nous l’avons testé au senegal dans un p’tit village. Le filtre est très efficace, nous avons apprécié la grande capacité du réservoir. Mais nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à la manipuler. Il doit y avoir une astuce particulière que nous ne connaissons pas. Le bouchon principal par lequel il faut remplir la poche n’est pas du tout facile à refermer. Il nous a causé des prises de tête à plusieurs reprises. Une fois rempli c’est évidemment lourd donc il faut être à 2 pour le faire. Le temps de filtration est plus long qu’indiqué peut etre parce que nous n’avons pas su le fixer correctement. J’aurais trouvé ça pratique une courte vidéo qui montre l’utilisation ! Peut-être qu’il y en a, je n’ai pas trouvé !
