Good water filter, great price,Small and portable
Haven’t had time to use it in action yet (Prepared for the spring), but it looks like a sound product and functions as expected (testing in a sink). I’ll update as I get more time with it but so far I like it. Compact design, light weight, perfect for the pack. What I really like is the ability to pump the water through to refill a canteen. I need this for camping with my son and I don’t have time for gravity feed or sucking through straws. I’m not expecting much from the whistle or compass but they’re there in a pinch and way better than nothing.Bottom line, I like this a lot.Bought one and very happy. Shipped fast too.

Great tool
Another great addition in our emergency camping gear. You never know if you might get unexpectedly stuck somewhere and run through your supplies. Water is always necessity and with this pump and filter kit you’ll be able to keep and treat a supply.

Good filter
It works great for the first 10 gallons but then begins to plug up. It probably would have worked better if I had used it in cleaner water. Extra filters are expensive too.

Both the pump and extra filter are small, easy to us and fit perfectly in a backpack without taking up too much room or being heavy. I searched all the different pumps/filters and I’m glad I bought this one!

Good/Budget friendly filter.
I live in the high desert. So a filter is great to have on you. Especially if you run out of water. I have yet to use this. Because it will only be used for emergencies, and backpacking. But it looks like a great filter. Definetly worth the money, for a budget filter.

Not great, but it works. Water does come out nice.
Water comes out great and it does a really nice job filtering, but that’s about where the good features end.It’s exceptionally difficult to get the hoses attached as they are very, very tight and the outer shell is even tighter. I found it much easier to undo the top to allow access without the outer shell, then screwing the outer shell back on.It looks like you’d be able to put the hoses in the cup and attach it to the top as a convenient storage solution, but they simply don’t fit and it causes kinks that are likely to damage the hose. You’ll need to find some other way to store these together.Instructions come in very broken English so it’s clear no one took the time to proofread before they printed and shipped them out.The compass on top is compeletely useless and just spins and changes directionality at a whim. Obviously not usable under any circumstance. It sounds like a nice addition, but they should just not have included this feature.

The pre-filter clogs easily
First used this weekend, on a 3 day backpacking trip. I had a hard time with the intake hose, I think the hose just doesn’t fit properly over the attachment area. It kept coming off several times. The other hose was short and would keep coming out of my bottle so I ended up watering the grass half the time. The intake pre filter got totally clogged on the 2nd use, and I wasn’t sure how to replace the cotton prefilter. Luckily I was able to fill my water at a State Park for the rest of the trip.

VERY HARD TO PUMP or hold onto
This pump is advertised in the description as”【Fastest Flow Rate Pump】Super-fast flow rate up to 1400 ml (47.8Oz) per minute. “Absolutely not the case. it was so hard to pump, it took me 15 minutes to pump up a 64 oz bottle, and I was exhausted by time I was done. not the best for backpacking as it packs in a bag with its hoses and a clear cap that does not want to stay on. The pump is hard to hold onto unless you have the perfect flat area to set it on with just the right heights for the intake and output hoses. The hoses are hard to get on the nozzles and you end up folding the edges in on the hose . Not a very efficient pump to use. also the chinsey compass that they put on there is worthless. I tested it with a true compass and it was off by 20 degrees. Just another example of trying to make something sound like a better deal than it is. returned after 1 weekend of use.
