Works great, well worth the money!!

Excellent product. Seems to be fuel efficient. Used it on a 3 week trip to Alaska. Get the coffee press too while you’re at it. Packs up nicely, easy to store.

Great Function, Great Design, Not Ultralight

Wonderful stove and pot set at a fair price. I’ve used it several times backpacking in the Sierras. Love the auto-ignite clicky thing. Works easy and fast, even in windy conditions. Also, burns strong and heats water fast; I was using it in 30-40 degree temps with 20+ mph wind gusts and it STILL did the job in a couple of minutes. The insulation around the pot is nice so you can hold it and eat right after heating. The stand attached to a standard fuel cannister and makes it very stable on anything half like a level surface; also, it comes with a little “adapter” thing for other pots (like a Toaks 750ml or something) to sit on it for use. Everything, including 1 fuel cannister nestles inside, so it’s compact for what it is. Note, this is not an “ultralight” setup. I weighed the stove and stand on our kitchen scale at 237 grams (8.34 oz) and the pot at 263 grams (9.27 oz). So, 17+ oz for the total setup. You can get lighter kit (and for a little less cash), but, as I said, it functions VERY well, and the design means it is more fuel efficient than some basic stoves (thinking the BRS 3000T etc). Note 2: the pot cannot be used on an open campfire (the base of the pot and insulation discourage that). All in all, great stove and pot set; excellent function, not ultralight.

    Very Happy Overall

In short, this little guy is easy to use, boils water lightning fast, and is pretty fuel efficient. However, it does NOT nest the heating element, stand and a fuel cannister as advertised. I’ve never owned a Jet Boil, but for my pocketbook and needs this thing is a solid winner. For background, I’m a car camper and not a backpacker. My primary use for this is to boil water for dehydrated meals and hot toddies when camping, but I’d probably be comfortable cooking some simple meals in it if needed.I originally bought this for the possibility of putting it in my bug out bag, but my bag is pretty small and it’s yet to be determined whether this will make the final cut. However, it has plenty of other uses and was still worth the purchase. It lights quickly and reliably, and although I didn’t keep an actual count I’m pretty certain I got 15-20 “boils” out of it with one standard cannister. Never timed it, but this thing boils fast — 3-4 minutes. It’s so much easier and efficient to use this vs bringing out my big Coleman stove just to boil some water. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the whole system – including the fuel cannister – does not nest in the pot. That’s the main reason it didn’t make the bag. I just bought a cannister from Wal Mart, I don’t know if Fire Maple sells it’s own cannisters or not and whether they might fit.Pro tip — when nesting the stove in the kettle, the base (where the fuel screws in) goes UP. I don’t know why, but when I put it in the other way it got stuck and it took a while to get it out (in fact I was about to throw it out and write a bad review, because I had tried repeatedly to extract it).As others mentioned, it does run a little loud. Also you definitely want to keep an eye on it when boiling, because it can get a little shaky and possibly tip over — although that has never actually happened to me so maybe I’m a worry wart.

How easy it is to use. Fun.

This Fire Maple is my favorite piece of camping gear. Every morning I have to have my coffee. It’s so easy to set up, built in starter for flame and water boils in two minutes. It’s so cute and easy to use. And then when finished it just fits together so nicely to store away. Genius, whoever thought this one up. Done. It’s the perfect size and sturdy. I had no problems. Love ❤️ it.

    Awesome alternative, great price.

I am so glad I found this stove. Just like a Jetboil, but I feel is more convenient. I took my daughter on her first backpacking trip, we boiled a lot of water, and even used a frying pan with the pan adapter to cook pizzas. I couldn’t be happier with it.

    Love it

Better than a jetboil at a much lesser price. Plus you get a few extras!

    It’s literally a jetboil

Zero complaints. It’s literally a jet boil but for a better price. I used a jet boil canister, you can use 220g or 230g canisters, just not Coleman. Boils water super fast. I boiled water for about 12 meals and still had over half the canister remaining. Held up in the wind. Has .25, .5, .75 and 1L measurements.
